My male cat has just been castrated and my female cat isnt being very nice to him :( ?

My male cat is 10 months and my female cat is 6.It took them a while to get used to each other but after having my male cat castrated this morning my female cat hisses at him and I have had to shoo her away after catching her scratching him.Does anyone know why shes behaving like this towards him :(
