What are some good ways to get rid of pimples?

i am 13 and i get pimples on my forehead and nose, not really my cheeks or chin (luckily). For the last month i have been using some avon 'Clearskin' products to try and shoo my pimples away but it kinda brings them out. I have tried tea tree oil too but not sure if that has been helpping or not. i have tried toothpaste aswell and no, it didn't work for me, i just woke up with toothpaste stuck to my skin. Please help! I don't get it extremely bad but my skin isn't very decent either. I am thinking of trying the ice solution, but is there any other cures you guys can suggest? I have heard proactiv is a waste of money , and i am hoping to find some remedies that i can make or find in the house. Thankyou!
