What are some good ways to get rid of pimples?

i am 13 and i get pimples on my forehead and nose, not really my cheeks or chin (luckily). For the last month i have been using some avon 'Clearskin' products to try and shoo my pimples away but it kinda brings them out. I have tried tea tree oil too but not sure if that has been helpping or not. i have tried toothpaste aswell and no, it didn't work for me, i just woke up with toothpaste stuck to my skin. Please help! I don't get it extremely bad but my skin isn't very decent either. I am thinking of trying the ice solution, but is there any other cures you guys can suggest? This weekend has been filled with endless letdowns. My ex and i got back together a week ago, and we made plans to spend time together after my graduation ceremony. Why was Ramanujan so stubborn in studying math only?

I know that there's programs only for elementary school teaching ...but what if I wanted to teach middle or high school? I have a samsung gem (SCH-i100) and the problem is that i can't add any widgets. Before, I was able to add them but, i don't know what happened after. All the shortcuts, folders, and wallpapers work fine, but the widgets aren't working. every time i try to "add" widgets a box comes up and says, "Sorry! The application Settings (process com.android. settings) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. Force close". Any suggestions to fix the problem or should i just go to my carrier?

IE randomly opens - brand new computer?

I got a new Toshiba Satellite C660 laptop this afternoon. One of the first things I did with my new computer is install Google Chrome, so that is the only thing ie has been used for. I also changed google chrome to my default browser. But now every 20 minutes or so IE just opens up ninemsn for no apparent reason. At first I thought there must be some default keyboard shortcut that automatically opens IE, but since it opened after I had not even touched the computer for a few minutes it seems to be just opening by itself. Surely it can't be a virus, so far I've only been on Google, Yahoo, Facebook, youtube, eBay, The local newspaper site, and my Uni's site, all of which are reasonably secure sites. I've had this computer for only 6 hours, it's unlikely it already has malware on it. Any suggestions to stop IE doing this?

Unemployment Question?!?

So here is the story. I have an older sister who has been battling depression for a long time. I got a phone call to get the hospital back in Sept 2010 to get to the hospital ASAP that my sister hurt herself. I was out of the office on my lunch break. I immediately headed there. What was I suppose to do? I had an emergency. So while at the hospital I emailed my temp agency that I had a family emergency. The email failed to send because of a wrong email address so I forwarded the email to the company boss that the temp agency had me working for immediately that same day. So I thought all was well because they didn't call or email me back yelling. Well the next day I sent another email to DHL the company I was working for through the temp agency asking for a few days off because I was overwhelmed with what was going on & needed to be with family. That was 9/22 I sent the second email. Needless to say they called me back & fired me. So they told unemployment I had quit on 9/22 but I sent unemployment office both emails with the date, time, subject, & body of the email.What does everyone think? Will I have to keep fighting or will Unemployment see that I was fired unjustly & the company lied? I can't believe the company would lie like that to avoid paying me unemployment. I am just now filing too because I had no idea I could get unemployment for being fired. A friend actually told me to file! So that's why I am just now filing for it incase that makes a difference. Everyone applying to Yale has the highest grades in the hardest classes and very high test scores, and they take about 8% of applicants. You need all that and a lot more to get in. As far as activities go, they'd rather see one great activity related to your major (publishing a novel, doing original research, starting a business, whatever you plan to major in and how you've gotten involved in the field) than joining everything out there. With 'very good' grades, good SAT, and lots of random activities, you're an average applicant at best. NYU is a bit easier to get into, but not a lot easier.

Vivid dreams about fish/dream interpretation?

I had this really vivid dream last night. I was in some sort of gathering place and there was some kind of revolution going on. There was a man standing on a podium made out of random objects and he was shouting things to a crowd of people.anyway to the left is a door way and i walk through it still able to hear the man talking. as I go in it's almost like it's underwater and a window cracks open and a fish splashes in and starts bouncing around the room (i believe it was talking as well) It would bounce higher than my head and I was terrified of it (it was a large flounder like fish, all black) It seemed to want to be part of the 'revolution' but the man on the podium seemed quite angry with it and kept trying to shoo it away. Like mp3 files, yours may have itunes logo on your mp3s as that's the program you use to open them with. If you sent an mp3 to a friend then that mp3 may have a media player icon if that's the default mp3 player for those files on your friends pc.

Ok beat this story. I visited my aunt in Jacksonville florida when I was 11 years old. My aunt was technically my great aunt also she was a little on the older side (age 65). Anyways, my aunt had this fascination with her hair always being in the beehive style. You know like from the 60's? I always joked with her about her hair looking like a birds nest, which is the turning point in my story.. She lived in one of those elderly one story community housing unit apartments and had a community mailbox. After breakfest she went to the bathroom to freshen up and put her "birdnest hairdo'' into style, then proceded to go and check the mail since she previously forgot the day before. I at this point was finishing my cereal and got up to wash the dishes when all of a sudden I heard shouting and screaming comming from outside. To my surprise I ran to the front door, peared outside and saw 2 bluejays swooping down attacking my aunts head! Trying not to laugh (for my aunt is elderly and had fallen during the attack) I ran outside and tried to shoo the birds away. All of a sudden one of them divebomed her head and had gotton so mangled into my aunts hair it started panicking and pecking her brains out (literally) I had to run back inside grab my uncles gardening gloves and scissors and literally cut around her hair to let the bird free. Good thing I grabbed the gloves too for the bird was biting me so hard it hurt even through the gloves. The next day when I came home from my friends house my aunts hair was cut above her shoulders and putback into a sleek ponytail. I guess she finally believed me when I told her that style was way to wild!

National Taiwan University-Chances of Getting In?

I am one of those students who obsesses over every possible detail and does not rest until I have a final solution. I'm posting this question here because I feel like my friends and parents aren't going to give me objective answers because...well they're my parents and friends. For anyone who is familiar with National Taiwan University's admission procedures, I'd like to gauge what my chances are of getting into their Global MBA program. It's an All-English MBA taught in Taiwan, and they're accredited by the ACCSB, the same people who accredit schools here in the states. Not to mention that it's about 2700$/semester, as opposed to 17,500/semester, which is what i would be paying at the school I attend undergrad at. I have a 3.4 cumulative GPA at my current university, but I also got an Associates in Business Admin (hence Business school at the grad level), and I graduated that with a 3.9 GPA. I belong to two honor societies, one of which I was vice president, and I've tutored middle and high school kids in Spanish for about six or seven years. Of course, I speak fluent English and Spanish, and my Mandarin is functional. I've studied abroad in Taiwan and China on fellowships from my school, and have interned with DOJ, a private consulting firm, and USAID this summer. I don't know how much they really care about interning for the federal government here, since it's a foreign country. But here it's a big deal. Apparently, I wasn't competitive enough for the government scholarship, which has made me doubt myself. I know that a 3.4 is by no means superior, and I know that in Asia grades are very important. Oh another small thing, I'm African-American, I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing for them. They don't have very many black students there (African-American, Caribbean, African or any other kinds of Black People), so I'm not sure if they want more there, and no one goes, or they'd just rather keep their international students limited to a more...Euro-centric pool. Basically, what I want are HONEST opinions (you don't have to spare my feelings really, I'd prefer you tell me 'you haven't a shot in hell' than 'oh i'm sure you're a shoo in', which is what i've been hearing from my friends. NTU is the most prestigious university in Taiwan. That being said, Taiwan is the size of Maryland....so take it how you want it. I really appreciate anybody's feedback. Thank You!

And also, I know you guys also think about us, "Why are women infatuated with tan guys who are tall and buff?" This isn't true. Ok, I finished my computer. I installed the motherboard drivers disc and everything's else's discs. After I installed ASRock's driver CD, There is a Zynga Games shortcut on my desktop, and pinned to the taskbar. I deleted the shortcut and unpinned the taskbar icon, but when I restart it comes back. I am running windows 7 professional. How do I remove it? I can't find it in the programs under "uninstall a program"

For our semester project, our English class has to make a movie trailer for a classic novel assigned to us. I was given "The Sound and the Fury" by William Faulkner. Should this dog be put to sleep?

My grandparent's dog bit my three year old cousin yesterday because she got too close to her. This is not the first time this dog has bitten kids. She's bitten a five year old and a two year old (on the face too), not to mention several adults as well, even her owners. My aunt and uncle say they won't press charges, nor demand that the dog be put to sleep but you'd think my grandparents would have her put to sleep anyway to prevent anymore incidents from occuring. They have owned this dog five years now and she has not been abused since she's been here. She might have been abused by her previous owners but after five years of good treatment, there really is no excuse for her to be acting this way. Each time she's bitten the kids, it was for no other reason that them getting too close to her, and not while she is earing either. And no, you can't say "keep the kids away from her" because the kids play in the yard where she is and she doesn't seem to have sense to stay out of their way, she'll come right over to the area where the kids are playing. It's like she is daring one of them to come over. This last incident happened when my grandmother was sitting on the porch with my cousin standing next to her chair and the dog came over too. When my grandmother tried to shoo her away, she (the dog) stepped backwards toward my cousin and my cousin lost balance and accidently leaned against the dog and the dog turned and bit her upper arm. My grandparents are unwilling to have the dog put to sleep but one day she is going to bite someone who will press charges.

Lost video icons but videos still play.?

I've been scratching my head for nearly 2 hours now, I got a virus which disabled my anti virus and started deleting all my files until i was left with a blank screen, I rebooted my PC into Safe mode and did a system restore and it returned most of my icons. However, When I browse My Computer and have a look for my films i cant seen to find them anywhere, Ive booted up media player and all my films are still there and playable, a few more of the files are the same, I recently saved a file in photoshop, couldn't find it where i saved it too, then i open photoshop clicked on recent files and it was there in the drop down list and i could open it! So im just missing the shortcuts/icons, I presume that my registry has been loaded (through System Restore) to default, So i tried a different restore point and that didn't work either. I thought i had backed up my registry with CCleaner but i couldn't find that either. Help! I've run out of ideas!!

I know that there's programs only for elementary school teaching ...but what if I wanted to teach middle or high school? There is this young squirrel in my backyard that keeps hiding in different spots. of course you can change! i get what you mean though, it's like the same with me. i am actually quite messy and everytime i tell myself that i am going to be organised and plan out what my homework schedule is, i always fail to do so in the end. it's really frustrating and i also wonder how we can change our ways. but honestly i think that you should just try to focus and set your mind straight. you could start off by just getting some diaries to organize your daily routines. then you should definitely buy some folders. they just make everything so much easier to find. don't forget to label the folders and maybe even in alphabetical order. i also think that you should stop trying to argue with your mum and just ask her for help. do something nice for her and maybe she can help you sort out your things. good luck! :)

HELP! My kitten ate hair ties!?

My 6 month old kitten apparently has been busy eating hair ties. I woke up last night to the sound of violent vomiting and she threw up about 4 hair ties. She went back to sleep and woke up a few hours later and immediately threw up. So obviously I took her to the vet right away. The vet told me they could still feel some in her tummy, and at first said they wanted to keep her overnight and try and get her to pass them. I said fine, but when I went to the front desk to pay they told me they were going to give her a rabies shot as well- I do not want her to get that vaccine and I feel it is my personal preference as a pet owner to decide that. Then immediately the front desk girl got all snippy with me and told me to bring her home because all of a sudden "they were confident enough that she would pass them". Told me to buy Laxodone. So I got her home, and she just seemed very worn out from all the stuff that had gone on. She didn't throw up all day and I gave her the Laxodone as instructed. She drank a bit of water but mostly layed down all day. But just now, she threw up again and it was hot green. She hasn't gone to the bathroom at all and I am really freaking out and upset. I know they told me there is a possibility she may need surgery, but I am very upset with the way they basically shooed me off because I didn't want the vaccine. I don't know whether to take her back tomorrow or wait a few days. Please help!

Is electrical and electronic engineering at Uni exciting and for me?

I am considering studying electrical engineering at uni but I'm not sure if its the subject for me. I love Maths and am good at it as well as Physics but sometimes when solving physics problems which are difficult and require thinking I cant do them because I'm sometimes narrow minded and am afraid to think and engineering is about problem solving (not saying I'm poor at problem solving) and one of my best skills is my memory which enables me to learn loads of facts, which is suited for a medicine degree. When I was 7 years old my 15 year old cousin lured me into a tent a shooed my brother away using all that " your special" crap. Once I was alone inside the tent he told me that if I were to take my clothes off for him that I would not get hurt. But I didn't want to and I was really scared so I sad no and briskly started walking out if the tent, I would have ran but I did not want him to know that I was scared. But as I was leaving he grabbed my ankles and I fell face down on the floor, the only things I had outside of the tent were my hands which I was using to claw at the grass outside in an effort to save myself. But I was to scared to scream or even speak at this point and so he began to take my pants and underwear off and he turned me on my side cause he couldn't see certain things from the back, but he didn't touch it. Then he let me go and I tried to tell my grandma put she blew me off. About a year later he spends the night in a van outside of my house and in the middle of the night comes into my bedroom, he tells me he has important things to tell me and that I need to follow him into the bathroom. It's a jack and Jill bathroom so he locks both doors but my lock is broken and I tell him that he says he doesn't care it makes him feel safer having it locked. Then he tells me if u show me yours I'll show you mine. I say no and start walking out. He stops me and then it goes blank, I don't remember anything after that point except for a long time after everything was done he came back in my room and told me not to tell anyone and made me promise. And then the last time I wake up one of the nights that he's sleeping over and he is over my bed and my covers are off and he's unbuttoning my pants :,( and when I was 14 I told my mom and a cop and he said there was nothing he could do because of a lack of evidence and that it wouldn't be considered molestation or any abuse because he didn't touch me. And my mom didn't believe me and kept asking me if I was sure. :(

My boyfriend's mother sent me rude messages?

I'm 20 and my boyfriend's mom sent me a very rude message. The subject line literally said "Hey f*g, just thought I'd tell you how you ruined my son." See me and my boyfriend go to the same college and live in an apartment off campus. When his mom found out he was gay she told him that he had to get out of the house and that she wasn't giving him anything towards his college. He had to get a bunch of loans, and he has to work to pay for it. Ever since she met me a year ago she didn't like me. She introduced me to the family as "F*gget". She had sent me rude emails before but I just ignored them and I thought they went away. Today she sent me a email about how I ruined her son and how I'm going to hell and stuff. Two days ago she left me a voice-mail again telling me that I've messed up her son and I'm going to hell. I've wanted to tell my boyfriend all of this but I'm visiting my family and he is vising his and we haven't been able to talk on the phone yet. I don't know what to do. Thanks

Does anyone know anything about muscovy ducks?

I just moved to a new apartment and there is a muscovy duck with eggs right next to my patio, but today when I went outside there was a male duck standing on top of her biting her on the neck, I yelled at him and tried to shoo him away but he wouldn't stop. She looks week and she won't move. Is this something normal for these kinds of ducks to do? I've seen a male duck peck at his babies when they were trying to get get food and they seem so mean. Is this something that I could fix by maybe sticking a large metal cage over her and bringing her food and water? I don't want her to get hurt, she's so defenseless and I love baby ducks. If there is nothing I can do about the male, does anyone know what is best for these ducks to eat, I know they like bread but maybe something that will help her stay strong?

How can I fix my computer?

My computer runs on windows xp sp2 (i think, it won't let me check). I surfed the internet for a long time without any problems. I found out later that I had a whole bunch of viruses. So I did the logical thing, got an antivirus. The problem is that at least one of the viruses was imbeded in the operating system files, because now when I click on a shortcut on the desktop it will only go to the "open with..." screen. So I went to the control panel but it did the same thing when I clicked on anything in there. It will run files that are already saved like word document and such (if the've been saved prior.) but it doesn't seem to be able to open shortcuts. So I would like to know whats wrong with my computer and if there is anyway to fix it without reformatting the hard-drive, reloading the operating system, and basically starting over and deleting everything.

My Dad left me a small amount of money, and I decided I wanted to own a house free and clear. So I bought a little house (780 sq. ft.) in the ghetto. I didn't realize how lousy the neighborhood really was until I lived there. I haved since added a gate, cinder block walls, wrought iron bars and doors, motion activated floodlights, cameras front and back, an alarm, and a 115 pound German Shepherd from the pound. I sleep with a police surplus Spanish Star Model B .38 Super under the pillow (no round in chamber) loaded with +P 130 grain Hollowpoints. I keep my boyhood 20 gauge pump action in the closet loaded with four rounds of #3 Buckshot. My Honda Insight has a Makarov 9mm wrapped in the towel tucked up under the front seat. If I am puttering around outside, I keep a .25 Auto in my front pocket, or if it's cold, and I can hide something bigger in a jacket, I keep a Walther PP .32 auto at hand. It's not a nice neighborhood, and I am a tiny man (five foot four 109 pounds). So I was in my front yard, trying to set up some hydroponics to my own organic squash. When two gang members come on an elote man across the street, and start throwing him around like a raggedy Andy doll. An elote man is a man who sells corn on the cob, Mexican style. You can get it with salt, butter, Mexican "foot" cheese, mayonaisse, chili powder, whatever. You can also get Raspado (Mexican Shave flavored ice.). Normally when hot blooded Latins want to beat each other, I stay out of it. Mind your own business is my rule. I figured the elote guy had been late paying his protection money, and was getting a "reminder." Not my problem. Then the guy saw me and started screaming for help. (Senor! Senor! Ayudame, Ayudame Por Favor!) Then I realized something. The guy being beaten went to my church. I recognize him. (I'm Catholic) Damn. He has a gigantic head on tiny shoulders and an odd voice. I had a Walther PP on me. But I assumed being the only white guy in the neighborhood that I am always watched. And I don't want them to know I carry a gun. I am small. They will just jump me and take it off me. So I run into the house, and get my shotgun. I have very long property, and local scum like to hang around my dilapidated garage. I try to scare them off with a pistol and they just laugh at me. I don't scare them with a small pistol. So now I shoo people off with the shotgun. I come back out, and they are still beating the @#$% out of this hunchback Mexican guy. My gate is locked, so I put the shotgun down, step on this cement thing, hop over the fence (I'm skinny, I can move) and land on the other side. Pretty good in flip flops. Didn't caught on the fence. I get up. The gang guys notice. They book down a side road and hop in an old Chevy. I guess even a small hippie looks mean when he has a old High Standard Flite-King Pump Action full size shotgun. We call Amber lights. Police and Fire show up. The cops are more interested in rousting me. Police Chief Charlie Beck is local president of Handgun Control Inc. And his men act like it. They tell me to go back in the house and get my shotgun. I get a big lecture. They run the shotgun serial numbers. It doesn't matter two gang members were rat packing a guy trying to earn a living. LAPD takes my shotgun. They want to "make sure it hasn't been used in a crime." I can pick it up later. Maybe. I am told I am lucky. I could have been charged with "Brandishing a firearm." The cops tell me I can never take a loaded gun off my property. I thought the fact they beat a 50 year old man so bad they broke his collar bone trumped that. I guess not. Oh, and LAPD took the guy's cart. Didn't have a Los Angeles Business Permit. But I thought you could use a gun in defense of others. The cops said that only applied to your own family. Does anyone know the law on this? Does it matter that the guy was in my church?

I think you should at least tell her that you're interested but not ask her out because this might break up your work ethics and your studies because you might be thinking about each other and that would mess up your studies and whatnot. Long distance relationships usually don't work out only if you really now the person well and both parties really like each other as best friends and more, but I think you should wait and then ask her out...good luck
