Do you think he was just saying it wrong because he's autistic?

I'm a bit autistic and my boyfriend is more autistic than me though. He often gets confused with what he's saying. Thing is, he loves me a LOT, he does everything to make me happy, he checks on me almost everyday, he tells me he loves me everytime we talk and see eachother. One time this other girl wanted him but he shoo'd her off and stood up for me. He doesn't pressure me into sexual stuff by the way (which I'm not ready for). We're both teens by the way. Anyways one day (online) we were talking and I told him he's a great boyfriend and I said I'll never leave him then he said. "I'll try the best I can to stay with you! I love you so much! ^_^" He shows me so much love and is autistic though so do you think he was just saying it wrong when he said that? When he said "I'll TRY to stay with you."
